WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING YOUR RUG PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED BY ORIENTAL RUG SERVICES?

Removal of dust and grit:

  • It is important to remove dust and grit from the base of the pile.

  • Dust and grit will cause wear and damage to the pile and foundation.

  • Vacuuming alone will not remove dust deep within the pile.

  • Professional, expert rug learning removes deep dust and grit

Removal of moth and larvae:

  • Moths thrive in dark warm places, particularly under furniture.

  • Carpet moth will cause damage in the pile and foundation.

  • Tumbling and washing will eliminate any infestation.

Improved condition:

  • Rug fibres like wool, silk and cotton are natural, so benefit from washing and care.

  • Colours can be re-vitalised by removing dust and soiling

  • Natural sheen will be restored with careful washing using lanolin rich products.

Protect your investment:

  • The increase in the cost of materials and construction costs are making hand-knotted rugs more valuable.

  • If your rug is rare or unusual it can increase its value if kept in good condition.

  • Paying for regular maintenance (i.e. cleaning and repair) costs less than the cost of replacement

Longevity:

  • Specialised rug cleaning and maintenance can preserve rugs for many generations
